Here are some pretty cupcakes we made to congratulate a newly married couple. I think I'm getting a little OTT with all of these vintage style backgrounds on my cupcakes :)

Jo asked for some cupcakes for her daughter's 18th Birthday. Laura is a fan of all things vintage so we made her these pretty shabby chic cupcakes. Happy 18th Birthday Laura!

Vintage Birdcage & Rose Cupcakes

 

I often have a list of cakes in my head that I want to try to make but I rarely have the time or the energy working full time and fulfilling cake orders. Today I tried a few...a Zoe Clark Bird cage and flower bunch cupcake and a subtle rose background rosebud cupcake. The bird cage is my favourite but took ages to make...not sure if I could offer those for sale as they would take me a lifetime to complete!

Here is a cake I made today for my lovely friend Beth to celebrate her Birthday. It is the first sugarpaste cake I've made completely unassisted...still lots of practice needed. Not a patch on the original design by Cotton and Crumbs but I feel pretty happy with today's efforts. Happy Birthday Beth!xx

Here is the only photo I got to take of Carolitha's red, silver and gold cupcake tower before the camera battery died. Lots of sugarcraft involved in this order and I thought they looked very striking at the wedding reception.

Beautiful Vintage Cupcakes

 

 Here are some gorgeous cakes I made for Diane's tea party. Diane loved the cakes and sent me the following message:

 

"Thanks again for the gorgeous cakes, I cannot stop looking at them. How are we supposed to eat them? They are works of art".

 



Vintage Pink Rose Cake

 

A cake for my Mother in Law's birthday. I had a lot of issues with this cake. I was rushing it and wasn't happy with the cake before icing as it didn't seem to be quite level, this was made all the more obvious when it was iced plus there was a bit of stretching to the sugarpaste around the edge. Despite all this the finished product looks good and the Birthday girl loved it. You win some, you lose some! :)
